Hana Giauque
Strings Specialist
Hana Giauque is a founding member of the performing group and music studio 7 City Strings as both a teacher and performer. She is also a former student musician at EVYS. Her performing career has taken her all over the globe, including Europe, China, the Philippines, and Canada. Her music dazzles audiences as she genre-hops from classical to fiddle to heavy metal. She also aims to bring more awareness to female composers of all genres as well as composers of the BIPOC community.
Ms. Giauque studied Viola Performance with Dr. Claudine Bigelow at Brigham Young University with a Minor in Business and began her Masters studies with Nancy Buck at Arizona State University in 2020. As a conductor and teacher, Ms. Giauque believes that the two most important jobs are to Educate and Motivate, where motivation and inspiration take equal priority with education. She attributes her teaching and conducting style to Mr. Rob Nichols, a talented musician, teacher and mentor, and a former EVYS conductor. Ms. Giauque is also a visual artist and enjoys mixing the visual experience with the bright and remarkable sound in her music. In her spare time, she likes to paint and play with her three sweet dogs, who are always her favorite practice buddies.
