Conductor – Concert Orchestra

Rebecca Joslin is in her 13th year as Orchestra and Theater Director at Gilbert Classical Academy in Gilbert Public Schools. After completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education at Arizona State University in 2011, Mrs. Joslin has doubled the size of the orchestra program at GCA to over 180 students and has added theater into the school curriculum options. The GCA orchestras consistently receive Excellent and Superior ratings at Arizona Band and Orchestra Directors Association and Worldstrides large group assessment performances.

In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Mrs. Joslin is also a frequent instructor and music director at Valley Youth Theatre in Phoenix as well as a freelance music director and violinist or pianist for various organizations around the valley, including Allegro Quartet, Desert Foothills Theater, MusicaNova Orchestra and West Valley Symphony. Mrs. Joslin has also filled positions as a section or clinic coach for various youth orchestras and school systems.

In her spare time, Mrs. Joslin enjoys being with her family, which includes her husband and five young children!
